In an ᴀsᴛᴏɴɪsʜɪɴɢ one-in-15-million event, a couple ʜᴀɪʟɪɴɢ from Albertville, Minnesota, embraced the arrival of rare identical quadruplet girls through a ᴄᴀᴇsᴀʀɪᴀɴ ᴅᴇʟɪᴠᴇʀʏ. Taylor Becher and Lance Thompson couldn’t believe their luck when they discovered at their eight-week ᴜʟᴛʀᴀsᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ that they were about to become parents to quadruplets!
Initially, the doctor believed they were only having twins, but soon discovered that there were actually four precious babies ɴᴇsᴛʟᴇᴅ in Becher’s ᴡᴏᴍʙ. The incredible case has ᴜɴᴅᴏᴜʙᴛᴇᴅʟʏ brought ɪᴍᴍᴇɴsᴇ joy and excitement for these proud new parents.
Though she is already the mother of a 21-month-old boy, the idea of having four babies ɪɴsɪᴅᴇ her still ꜰʀɪɢʜᴛᴇɴᴇᴅ Becher. She was also aware that giving birth to ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ babies at once was very ʀɪsᴋʏ.
Becher was so sᴛʀᴇssᴇᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ at first, but her boyfriend, Lance, was there for her throughout her pregnancy until she gave birth. He would keep her ᴄᴀʟᴍ by saying everything was going to be okay.
Bechers’s source of sᴛʀᴇss is common and understandable. According to the Aᴍᴇʀɪᴄᴀɴ Sᴏᴄɪᴇᴛʏ ꜰᴏʀ Rᴇᴘʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ Mᴇᴅɪᴄɪɴᴇ, ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴs ɪɴᴄʀᴇᴀsᴇ in a ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ pregnancy with each additional ꜰᴇᴛᴜs.
While carrying ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ pregnancies is sᴄᴀʀʏ and sᴛʀᴇssꜰᴜʟ, Becher surpassed all the ᴄʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇs by being positive and extra careful. She also enjoyed buying baby stuff such as car seats, cots, and newborn clothes.
Finally, on March 11, their four little bundles of joy came out by ᴄᴀᴇsᴀʀɪᴀɴ ʙɪʀᴛʜ. The parents were so amazed, but what surprised them the most was that their four baby girls are identical. Lakely, Sawyer, Kennedy, and Aurora were all ᴅᴇʟɪᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ safely, and none of them had any ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴs.
The couple was so happy and relieved now that they have their quadruplets, who are all healthy and adorable. Weighing 2 pounds and 3 ounces, Lakely was the sᴍᴀʟʟᴇsᴛ of the quadruplets, while Sawyer was the biggest at 3 pounds and 3 ounces.
Becher said that Lakely didn’t grow as quickly as her other sisters when she was pregnant, but she was the only one who did not need ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴀssɪsᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ. Luckily, all four babies are now ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴘᴇʀꜰᴇᴄᴛʟʏ on their own.
The couple can’t wait to bring their babies home, where their older brother is waiting to meet them.
