Brazilian photographer Paula Galvo, who is from Natal, specializes in capturing a baby’s precious first moments. In the meantime, a moving image depicts a woman getting ready to give birth while kneeling on the floor and clinging onto her spouse as she experiences contractions. After giving birth to her own daughter, Ingrid, now 17 years old, Paula, 39, began capturing photos similar to these. She explained that even though she works around the clock because the baby could arrive at any time or place, she is “extremely happy and fulfilled by her profession” and that “every birth brings a distinct emotion.”
