19-Year-Old Parents Welcome Rare Identical Triplets

The identical triplets — Raelyn, Avery and Elaina — were born in Providence, Oregon, on Monday. Their parents, Amber Hills and Logan Brown-Fletcher, are 19-year-old high school sweethearts and first-time parents from Newberg, Oregon.

The babies, who weighed 2 pounds, 12 ounces, 3 pounds, 11 ounces, and 2 pounds, 15 ounces, were delivered by caesarean section at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center 33 weeks into Amber’s pregnancy.

The new mom said the moment she saw the newborn baby girls for the first time was unforgettable, calling them “the loves of my life.”

‘My heart was full and I was totally in love,’ she told The Oregonian.

‘I want to be with them all the time. It’s hard to be away from them.’

The infants were delivered by Cesarean section 33 weeks into the pregnancy (the average pregnancy with one fetus lasts about 39 to 40 weeks).

The girls are in the neonatal intensive care unit at Providence St Vincent Medical Center and are said to be healthy and making good progress. They were able to go home 1 month later

These three identical sisters are so small that they can each fit in the palm of their father’s hand, but they already have painted toenails, thanks to a one-in-a-million medical miracle in Oregon..

That’s the only way their parents, Amber Hills and her fiance Logan Brown-Fletcher, can tell them apart, according to The Oregonian.

“I was a little scared because I was still in high school and working a small job with not many hours,” he says.

“But as we started to approach their due date, I was like, ‘This is going to be life changing, but I am ready.’”
