Jesy was rushed for emergency s.u.r.g.e.r.y after boyfriend Zion spotted a scary symptom
JESY Nelson appeared on This Morning today with boyfriend Zion and their adorable twins, marking their first public interview as a family.
After a high-risk pregnancy, Jesy, 34, a former member of Little Mix, and musician Zion had identical twin girls in May.

In an interview with hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, Jesy talked candidly about her difficult pregnancy and a rare condition that could have k.i.l.l.e.d her unborn children.
After receiving a diagnosis of twin-to-twin t.r.a.n.s.f.u.s.i.o.n syndrome (TTTS), an uncommon but d.a.n.g.e.r.o.u.s illness in which b.l.o.o.d f.l.o.w.s unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta, she spent weeks in the hospital.
Additionally, Jesy disclosed that she experienced a “t.h.r.e.a.t.e.n.e.d m.i.s.c.a.r.r.i.a.g.e” early in her pregnancy.
“Thank you for having us,” the singer said in her first television interview after giving baby. “We succeeded!”

She joked, “Bless her, the ocean is receding a little bit,” while holding Ocean Jade and revealing that her twins were 69 days old. Thus, that’s how we can distinguish between them.
Jesy disclosed that her n.i.g.h.t.m.a.r.e started very early in her pregnancy, but that her daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe were born prematurely at 31 weeks and five days.
She remarked: “We were ecstatic when we first learned that we were expecting twins, which was just crazy.” Zion seems to have seen a g.h.o.s.t.
After the scan, the man informed us right away that he needed to refer us to a twin specialist.

“The next day, the doctor sat us down and told us all the complications. I felt like, I couldn’t believe the percentages and what could potentially happen. From that point I couldn’t enjoy my pregnancy.
“They told us we could only take it two weeks at a time, I didn’t even want to announce it.
“When I look back now it makes me so sad, it’s supposed to be the happiest time. We had no idea this could happen with twins.”
Zion, proudly cradling Story Monroe during the interview, added: “I just felt whilst Jess was going through it all, words of reassurance is all I could do and trying to stay positive.”

Dr. Ruwan Wimalasundera, Jesy and Zion’s consultant, joined them to discuss the risks that monochorionic twins face while still in the womb.
According to him, monochorionic twins have a very high risk of m.i.s.c.a.r.r.y.i.n.g since their b.l.o.o.d veins are connected in their joint placenta and they grow in the same sac.
To s.e.p.a.r.a.t.e the b.l.o.o.d vessels, Jesy needed to undergo a risky p.r.o.c.e.d.u.r.e known as a fetoscopic laser.
Jesy stated: “Every time we went for scans, things got progressively w.o.r.s.e.
“We had scans weekly. I still didn’t think we’d have the procedure. I was in denial.
“I went to see him (the doctor) on the Tuesday and had (surgery) on the Thursday.
“There were symptoms to look out for, if your belly feels like a drum, if you are out of b.r.e.a.t.h.
“After my scan we’d gone to the park and I couldn’t even walk because I was so out of b.r.e.a.t.h.

“But it’s hard when you’re pregnant with twins, what’s normal?
“Thanks to Zion, I said to him, can you feel my body, because I’ve got so used to feeling like this I don’t know what’s normal.”
Alison asked: “Did you feel something different Zion?”
He said: “I had been feeling it throughout the pregnancy and this time it felt really really tight. Like my fingers couldn’t press in.”
Dr Ruwan ordered them to return to the hospital immediately and prepared for s.u.r.g.e.r.y that night.
Zion added: “That procedure is not even guaranteed to work, and that was another thing that was terrifying.”

Jesy went it labour quickly afterwards and stayed in hospital for ten weeks.
She added: “I felt safe to be there, I actually didn’t want to go home.”
Glowing in a vibrant silk co-ord, Jesy thanked Dr. Ruwan and stated that the couple was now acclimating to their new normal at home with their kids, Story Monroe and Ocean Jade.
With Alison swooning over the twins, who were wearing pink onesies and hats, they soon took center stage.
